Audio on Timeline

Storyline Experts!

I imported 20 unique audio files for each slide in my audio project. I then edited each of those files by taking out the blank space at the beginning and end of each file, etc. There doesn't seem to be a "replace audio file" function, so I removed the existing audio files and imported the new--shorter length--audio files. Now, the audio that shows on the timeline does not reflect reality. The audio on the time line might go for 20 seconds, but the actual audio may play beyond that to 22 or 23 seconds. And if I drag the "end" for that slide back to where the audio file ends on the timeline, then the audio file gets cut short when it is playing.

I would like to have the audio file show the real audio length so that I can drag the end of the slide to the end of the audio file on each slide and I don't have to keep guessing where the end of the audio file is.

Hopefully this makes sense.

p.s. Happy Valentine's day. Love you guys. Thank you for all of the help you've provided over the years to make my small business viable.

Hi Keith,

If you click on the audio track in the timeline and then select the Options tab, you'll see a Change Sound button.  It will give you the opportunity to replace the audio file but it will keep the same timeline length until you manually shorten it.  You can also go into the audio editor and delete the beginning and ending sections of your audio track if you wish.  Just highlight the section you want to remove and click the Delete button.  My apologies if I misread what you are trying to do!

I've noticed that the audio will keep going for a few seconds after the seekbar gets to the end, but I have no idea what to do about it.  It'll be great if someone else can post a solution!

Happy Valentine's Day!
