Audio Quality Issues and Echo when Importing audio / WAV files into Storyline

Apr 20, 2016

Hello!

I have a few audio files (that have been edited in Adobe Audition and saved as WAV files) that sound great in Audition, but occasionally produce a very distinct echo once they have been imported into my storyline course (and sounds a bit fuzzier over all).

I've referenced this: https://www.articulate.com/support/storyline/issues-with-imported-audio -which recommended 16bit, 44Khz- but even after making this switch I still get an odd echo when previewing in storyline. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if there is some setting I am missing. The audio file sounds perfect when I am editing and listening to it in Audition, so I am not sure what went wrong.

Thank you for the help!

Hi, Jane -- Thanks so much for reaching out and sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing! May I ask if you have tested your course in the intended environment to see if you still find the same echoing behavior where the course will ultimately be accessed? Please see here for details, and if issues persist, I'd recommend that you also trying importing the file into a new file, and run through the troubleshooting steps listed here to see if you find improvement. Please let us know! :)
