Audio Recording recurring blip in sound

I'm using the latest version of Storyline and when recording audio using Storyline for a slide, I am routinely getting a blip in the sound. If a word has 4 syllables, often times it cutting off one or more syllables occasionally. I finished a 27 slide project yesterday and I eventually had to go record audio in Audacity and it worked fine. I tried several external microphones but they all did the same thing when using Articulate. I googled this issue and found some people had this problem years ago but nothing recent. Anyone experiencing this?

Hi there John!
Thanks for sharing your experience here. Are you working from your local hard drive or from a network drive? Also, are you on the most recent update of Storyline 2 or Storyline 360?
Hello John and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
Sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue when recording your audio. Does this happen in any project or was it just the one you referenced in this post?
If it's happening across projects, I would be sure to conduct a repair of your software to see if this alleviates the issue you are experiencing.
Hello Alyssa and thanks for the reply! I am working from my local hard drive and I'm using Storyline 2 and the system tells me there are no updates available. Using Update 11:1609.3020. I would be more inclined to think it was my system, however I've used other tools and they seem to work fine. I'm not totally ruling out my system though. :-)
Leslie, I should probably know, but what do you mean by a "repair of my software"? Should I remove and reinstall? I have the latest version already. Thanks for any advice you can give.
