Audio vs timings

Apr 27, 2014

Hello---I have imported a presentation into Storyline; the file was originally developed in Articulate.

My bullet point and object animations that were timed with the audio in Articulate did not import into Storyline.

Can I import at least the animations and hopefully the timings that corresponded to audio?

Also, is there a way to connect object state changes to the audio instead of to a user action?  For example, I'd like the second state to appear at 10 seconds.

Thanks

Hi Laura and welcome to the community!  PowerPoint entrance and exit animations are supported in Storyline and will be imported—though some will be converted to Fade animations. Emphasis animations and motion paths are not yet supported and don't get imported into Storyline.  You can find out about the details here..

In Storyline you can easily control the timings by dragging the objects left or right in the timeline

As for timing the change of an object state change, one easy way to do that is add an object that is hidden off-screen and the move that object in the timeline to when you want the state change to happen. Finally when you build your state change trigger make it happen WHEN the timeline of your off screen object starts.

You can see a bit more about th off-screen object trick in this thread..

Let me know if that makes sense or if you have any questions.
