Automatic timer increase after failed quiz attempts

Mar 22, 2020

Hi,

I'd like to know if it's possible to make something like this please :

  • First quiz attempt - 15 minutes timer
  • Second attempt after failing first one - 20 minutes
  • Third attemps after failing second one - 40 minutes

This would achieve at least two things :

  • Reduce Internet use for first attempt.
  • Reward students that achieve the quiz the first time (giving them a badge or something else in a gamified LMS)

Anyway, is that possible ?

Thanks !

Thanks for your answer.

It would be as follows :

  • You set a short timer for the first attempt, which makes it harder for students to look for info on Internet.
  • If the first quiz attempt is failed, then the user would restarts the quiz, but this time with more time.

Basically, it would allow to have a better assesment of online students, while rewarding the best students who make it on the first time, and giving more time to students to pass the quiz for subsequent attempts.
