Backup for storyline files

Jan 30, 2024

Team,

I have lost my .story files on my system and my whole work is in them. Is there anyway we can restore it as its a cloud platform.

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated!!

Storyline is not on a cloud platform. It is an application stored on a local hard drive.

The .story files should always be on the local drive when opened. It is a best practice to keep at least one backup copy of a file somewhere else. For example, that could be cloud-based storage or on a flash drive.

  • Note: Last year, Articulate added an option to save a copy of the .story file in the Review system when you publish a course to Review 360.

Here's what the Articulate staff has suggested in other posts:

Unfortunately, if that doesn't work for you, and if you don't have backups of your .story files, You will have to re-create them.
