I have a base layer and three other layers in an Articulate Storyline project. I want to allow the user to navigate between each layer and the base layer. I have added a back button on the other layers (not base layer) but when I go to create a trigger to get it back to the base layer, I can't find the base layer, although I see all of the other layers I've created. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?
use the trigger ‘hide layer’ this layer when user clicks the back button. Depending on your layer properties you may need a show layer trigger if you are wanting to go back through the layers.
All of the layers are parts of the slide, so you can't jump to the slide; you're already there. The only way to see the base is to hide all the layers, as Wendy said.
I am finding the same issue as Jane described--want the user to be able any time to see an interaction again (reset), and therefore clear all layers and show only the base. I see Wendy's answer, but I do not see Hide Layer/This layer. I see Hide Layer, then the names of all my layers come up, plus one called "unassigned". So, to get around this, I am having the button go to a particular layer (#1), then a trigger to hide that particular layer. I'm using Storyline 360. Please advise. Thank you.
When I want to hide a bunch of layers at once, I create a layer with nothing on it, and set it to hide other layers. Then I set it to close when the timeline reaches .01 sec. Anytime I jump to it, all layers are hidden.

Thank you so much!

You only see the Hide Layer/This Layer option when you are ON A LAYER.
Hey Becky!
Looks like Michael has popped in to help you out. I just wanted to share some documentation for you or anyone following along.
