I'm trying to develop some animations for e-learning course cover page. Do not need any interactivity in the seen. External tools such as flash and edge gives more control on animation, what is the best way to integrate such animations to story?
Exporting to movie from the animation software and placing the video on the cover page background worked for me, but faced issues in looping, file size and other minor details.
Hopefully some of your fellow community members and colleagues will pop in to assist, but based on that description you may wish to publish those animations and utilize them as web objects in your course.

You would need to use a webobject to link to an external animation.
