Bevel shape turns black in Preview when resized

Hi! I have a bevel shape I am using as a background in my Storyline course, but it goes all wonky when I resize it. The first picture is what the slide looks like in the work space. The second picture is what I see when i preview the slide.
I have tried everything I can think of to fix it.
Can you help?

I played around a bit more and was able to resolve the problem. I saved the bevel shape as a picture and added it to the Slide Master, and then deleted the bevel shape that was on the slide. Voila!
