Blank/White Screen when publishing in Storyline 2
Mar 02, 2015
Hi, I have a six module course that I'm experiencing problems with and wonder if anyone else can offer any suggestions. On publish to CD or web I see a blank/white player. Sometimes the screen goes black during publish or it crashes completely and I see red crosses over the top of the screen as per attached.
I've tried deleting and re installing ASS as per advice to no avail.
Also I've tried creating a new file and importing one section at a time. Five will work and then it falls over when add the sixth. Even if I import the sections in a different order.
I've tested other files I've converted for AS1 to AS2 and they seem fine so I don't think its a network issue.
I've raised a job with support (Case #00461299) but I'm no further forward so would appreciate any suggestions from the community. The issue is intermittent so its really difficult to in pin down the cause.
Also I have a second issue where some buttons I've created in the slide master do not display the text in preview, any suggestions?
Regards.
Carolyn.

Hi Carolyn!
Thanks for mentioning that you are working with support.
Perhaps someone in the community will be able to assist you. If it's something that we need to further review, I advise responding directly to your support case.
Thanks Leslie, here's a black screen in publish!
Hello Carolyn,
Thank you for sharing the image. I do see that an email was received today in your support case, so you should be receiving a response shortly.
Hi Emily, I've receved a response that has asked me to to do a reinstall which I have already done. My file is now taking 23 minutes to publish! As we've been trying to resolve this issue since 18th February I'm reverting back to storyline 1 and will rebuild my file from scatch next week. Then during publish I will be able to see what screen is causing an issue. My course is 80 plus screen and I have a deadline to meet.
Hello Carolyn,
Thanks for the update, and I would advise to continue to work with support. I will keep an eye on the case as well.
