I'm finally getting to use Storyline! I've been working an an SAP project the last 15 months. I have five buttons the user clicks on to reveal a definition. I've had no problem creating the layer with the definiton and the trigger. However, I can't seem to find the tutorial on marking each button as read. I want to use a check mark to indicate to the learner that they have completed that definition. How do I do this?

Hi Marty,
You can do this by editing the states of your buttons.
Depending on the way you want them to behave, you can use the built-in state "visited".
So, you would only have to add a checkmark to the visited state of your buttons.
This could also help.
Hope it helps and have a nice day!

Hi Marty, you can do this by adding a check mark to the visited state on your buttons.
To do this, select one of the buttons you have added and then click the States tab located beside the timeline tab. If you have used the Storyline buttons to create this exercise, you will see that it already has several predefined states included a Visited State.
You are going to want to edit the Visited state. To do this click Edit States and then select the Visited State (it should now have a yellow box around it). You can now add a check mark to the button on the slide. If you have a nice check mark graphic use the insert picture option and then place it on the button. If you don't have a picture, you can use the insert symbol option and pick the symbol that looks like a check mark. Once you have it placed where you want to the button, click Done Editing in the States area.
The check mark will appear as soon as the users clicks the button.
Once you have done this, you can use the format painter in Storyline to apply the format to the other buttons.
Thanks Annie and Nancy!
