Branching scenarios
Nov 04, 2020
Hi all,
I'm currently working on a rather ambitious branching scenario for soft skills training. I'm having a hard time keeping track of what's going on in each branch. Do you have any tips or - preferably - tools that you can recommend that can be useful? To be clear - I know how to create branching scenarios in Storyline, but I'm looking for better ways to keep track of the Q&A that goes on in each branch.
Best regards
Michael

Hi Michael, I have used a Mind-mapping tool called ithoughts (on my iPad) and Adobe XD to map and see the relationships for a branching exercise. A bit of extra work to model but provided great clarity when designing the logic.

Some people use Twine to map out the scenario. It's free.
Also, it's good to come up with some sort of naming conventions. Doesn't matter what it is, but something you can use to identify the questions and branching. And then use them for slides, objects, etc
That's a good idea Tom!
Hi Gerry!
It may come as no surprise, that I was looking for a free tool. So I've started searching for free mind-mapping tools ;-) Thanks for the idea :-)
Hi Michael love the freebies as well :) check out Adobe XD
Wow! I just assumed it had a price tag on it! Thanks!
I found this: https://www.yoscenario.com/
Looks promising!
