Browser Controls
Jan 09, 2017
I am trying to hide the Windows Explorer Title Bar at the top of the page. It has the minimize, maximize and close buttons in the upper Right corner. I think this detracts from the design of the page. Plus I do not want students fooling around with the browser when they are supposed to be taking a test. I am sending a picture of the page in .jpg format. Thank you.

Hi there William!
Thanks for sharing the screenshot here. There isn't a built-in feature that would allow you to remove the browser control bar at the top of the screen. Hopefully other members of the community can chime in if they've developed a design workaround for this!
Alyssa,
Thanks for your time and effort. I hope the Storyline people have a fix for this. I am used to having full control over what the student can see. Thanks again.

Hi Bill, this isn't a Storyline issue, it's a browser issue actually.
As we progress to newer browser versions there are built-in security protections that eliminate/restrict our ability to hi-jack the learner and give the learners more control (appropriately) of their own experience.
If you're launching your content via a LMS, there may be a way you can control the content window from the LMS side of things and make the content launch in a full screen, chromeless window.
Hope this helps,
B
Ooh, I see now. I think that is something I can handle. Sorry for the wild goose chase. Thanks again.
Thanks for popping in to assist here, Brian!
