Here is our viewing requirements in regards to HTML5 output, and I would not recommend IE (any version) or Firefox based on how they perform with HTML5 output based on the site HTML5test.com.
this is quite a limitation for us as many of our customers use IE, and getting them to change to Chrome (for example) is simply not an option.
I understand the list of supported browsers is based upon their HTML5 capabilities. But could you let me know what would happen if Microsoft were to release an update of IE11 which scored as highly as Chrome - might this then be officially supported? Or are there other aspects which would influence your decision? I notice that Microsoft Edge also scores quite poorly.
I can't say for certain - but our team is always looking at ways to support more browsers and produce a better HTML5 output. If there is a particular browser or set up that you'd like to see support for I'd encourage you to share your thoughts directly with our product team in the form of a feature request.
