Buffering Issue

Jun 20, 2023

Hi,

When creating a recording in SL360 we've needed to cover over some personal data. This data appears covered in the slide within the project and when you action fine tune it doesn't exist either. However, when you preview and publish the video and drag the timeline back to the beginning, the data we have tried to cover then appears.

Does anyone have a fix for this at all?

Hi Meg!

It sounds like censored content is being revealed when publishing your Storyline 360 course. I'd be happy to work with you to figure out what could be causing that!

I have a follow-up question first so I can understand what you're experiencing a little better:

  • Is the personal data only being revealed at a certain timeline of the video? If so would you be willing to share your project file privately through a support case, and provide a timestamp where the issue is occurring? We'll delete it from our system once troubleshooting is complete!

In the meantime, as a workaround, I have seen other users find success with censoring personal information by creating a shape and using the shape to mark sensitive content. Here's a quick tutorial!

Hope this helps! Looking forward to hearing from you!
