Button Functionality Not Working with Scroll Panel and Text

Aug 19, 2015

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has come across this glitch:

I have a button that, when clicked, shows a layer. The layer is a text box that sits on top of a scroll panel.

I set the text box width smaller than the scroll panel width so that it does not cover the scroll bar on the right.

I set the text box depth (or length) long enough so that all text is showing within the text box.

Button triggers are: Show layer when clicked and then on the layer itself, the button trigger is hide this layer when button is clicked.

The problem is: Button works fine when viewing in Preview mode, but as soon as I publish, the button acts like a rollover button and not a 'when clicked' button so that every time I move the mouse off of the button the text box on the layer disappears. The mouse needs to be moved off of the button in order to move the scroll bar so that the user can finish reading the text.

Could the problem be that there's too much text in the text box?

Any suggestions/comments would be very much appreciated.

Thank you all!

P.S. - I forgot to mention this: there is a video on this slide. I took the video off and the button works perfectly. As soon as I put the video back on the button becomes a rollover and not a click.
