I have created a slide with layers. Both the main slide and the layers have voice overs. When I select a layer, listen to the layer voice over and select the close button to return to the main slide, the main slide repeats itself with animation and voice over. what am I doing wrong?

Hi Darcy,
You want to pause the base layer in the layer properties. Select the layer and use the gear icon.
This brings up the slide properties. In that window, select pause base layer.
That should do what you want.
Didn't help. Only stopped the audio when I went to a layer. When I returned to the original slide it started over from the beginning again

Can you share your file or at least the problem slide? It's a lot easier to look at what you have rather than guessing what is causing the problem.
