Button or markers... hoping ?
Jul 02, 2015
Hey all , after previous help with controled navigation that is working great! I fear I may have painted myself into a corner with buttons. I dont see a visual change possibility for a marker , in my navigation solution I have the continue / next selection solved with visiting all Markers. While reviewing with management on several pages where there are many markers to visit they asked if I could make them change after visited as the quantity had led to some confusion for the testers (OK managers maybe not the most clever)
I of course said we can do "anything" really thinking about buttons , not markers. If I have to change Markers to buttons , I redo the entire 9 module course (150+ pages) really hoping that there is a way to change the visual of a Marker?!?! (after it has been visited)

You could add a visited state on the markers and use the format painter speed up process of updating the markers.
hmmm, good idea, I now need to learn how to define a visited state
Hi Jim,
Click on the marker and then click on the states tab (between the timeline tab and the notes tab). Click on edit states, click on new state (piece of paper folded down) and then add a visited state.
REALLY??? How could I have missed that... I have GOT to get out of the habit of expecting the upper menu bar having all the power!
Next time just ask if I have considered that some possibilities reside in the lower screen...Thank you very much
Glad you were able to get the assistance that you needed here Jim :) We're all guilty of missing things for sure. No worries.
