I'm trying to adjust a selected state for a Link Text button via the Colors & Effects tab. However, this seems to be the only button that doesn't have this option. Am I missing something or is this a big oversight in Storyline?
If you mean a hyperlink, I created one and was able to make states which changed the text colour effectively when clicked on. Can you describe in more detail what you are doing?
I believe its a tab. Just like Menu is a tab. So if you go into Advanced Colour Editing and choose Tabs, you can change the selected colour there. Hope that helps.
The elements that are a part of the player don't have a selected state (or any states) to change the colors associated with them. You can change the overall color for elements in the player as described here.
They look like tabs you've added to the player, which yes you can include them as links to sections of the course. If they're included as a part of the player, they won't have states as I mentioned but if they're not on your player and you've just set up your course to look as such we'll need to take a look at it. In regards to the menu, yes that does showcase what section the user is currently on by highlighting it or once the the user has clicked on it and passed that point it is indicated with a color change.

I have a course with 4 modules in it. The links in the upper right go to specific slides within the course.

Thanks for the feedback.
It's not a tab, They're links to sections of the course.
Yes, I see how you can change the overall color...which was done. However, you say the player doesn't have selected states, yet the Menu does?
