Buttons disappear in use

Hello, everyone,
I have a problem with a .story file. The lesson contains a start page (see attachement)with 14 buttons that lead to subpages. The buttons are set to "completed" when clicked and the last button will be unlocked.
This also works for me without any problems when testing the learning unit. The following happens with some users: at some point some buttons on the start page disappear and can no longer be selected. As a result, they cannot complete the learning unit. Other users can easily complete the learning unit.

I cannot reliably reproduce the problem. Does anyone have an idea of what that could be?

Diagnosing an issue that cannot be reproduced consistently is challenging. One thing you can try is to republish your course after importing your slides to a new project file to see if this helps. You'll also want to make sure that you're working locally when making changes to your project file.
