Hello, I have a pre-existing exam from my company that they would like to upload online as a prerequisite course with automatic grading. Issue: All questions (60+ are short answer or essay). Does Storyline have a way to mark an essay or short answer question automatically correct if the learner types x amount of key words in the designated field? Any other software suggestions would be appreciated as well if Storyline does not have this feature! Thanks for the help!
Both short answer and essay questions are survey question, which are not graded by default.
You could certainly require the user to answer, which would help control navigation, but again, the questions would not be graded.
You could report completion to an LMS once a specific slide is reached as explained here, but if you're hoping to track the responses you may need a 3rd party tool.
I will defer to the community on that, but this may get you started.
I'm not sure if Marie is still subscribed here, as the post is a bit older - but you could always use the "contact me" button on a ELH users' profile to reach out to them directly! It's not something built into Storyline automatically, but it could be something available to you within your Learning Management System (LMS).

Ah, I figured as much, but it is nice to have confirmation. Thank you for the link to another discussion page! Going through the helpful tips now :)
No problem Marie :)
Hello Marie,
