If so, how? I tried to create triggers that supposedly do that but in preview they don't work. Every Next button insists jumping to the last layer with an error message that says "The slide target of this link is not available in this preview."
Also the Next/Previous triggers I create never show up in the Triggers list?
Do you want to share what you've got set up? By default the next/previous buttons will go to the next slide - but if you want it to click through the layers you're likely going to need to include some variable conditions to track where the user is and determine when to go to the next slide instead of the layer. Here is a thread that walks you through some ideas of how to set this up.
Are you using Storyline 2? If so, what release? There is a bug with the next button carrying events between slides after click. This could be cascading all the way through your layers and executing the final trigger on the final layer.
If you're using the newest release of SL, you shouldn't see this but I could be wrong. See the attached for my workaround for the problem. A variable setting tells the next trigger what layer we're on. The variable trigger is attached to a delayed object. So even if the event carries through to execute the triggers in the opening layer, it won't execute since the variable hasn't changed yet.
Steve, Ashley, I really appreciate your help. Let me study and digest this. I'm still not too good with variables but I'm sure I'll manage it the more I try different examples. It's all a matter of concentration and practice. Best regards, Ugur
It doesn't look like Steve set up anything for the Previous button - and as such it has no where to go. You'll want to implement the same method in terms of variables to allow for the previous button to work the same way.

Thanks Steve for sharing that here, and Ugur let us know if you need anything else.

Steve, NEXT button works but PREVIOUS button doesn't, unfortunately. Have you noticed that?

Yep. You'd need to code that in. It's similar to next, but the conditions would just open the previous layer instead.
