I used the tabs template to create a new slide in Storyline 2. It works in the slide view, but when I publish it to my computer, sometimes the next/previous work, and then they don't. The base layer has triggers for next and previous. Do I also need to add additional triggers to each of the slide layers? Thanks,
You mentioned that the navigation isn't working after you published--did you publish for LMS or Web? Also, where did you upload the zipped output before testing it?
It might be helpful if we could take a peek at your file. Could you attach a copy of it here?
Hi Debbie - I apologize, but I'm not seeing your responses here. Not sure if you replied via e-mail and it did not come through to the forums as you expected.
Please be sure to click 'View' and pop into the forums to reply if you are looking to attach information perhaps.
It was published for the web (and viewed in both Chrome and Firefox). I tested by publishing, then clicked on the "View Project" link in the box indicating successful publication. The problem is with the slide: Types of Publications. If I just pass through and click next it works, but if I open any of the tabs, the next/previous don't work. There is an additional problem of when moving back and forth between the tabs (which works), I can't get back to the base layer. Which file should I attach?
Ah, thanks for those details! Since security restrictions on your computer can cause wonky behavior when viewing published files locally, we recommend hosting published Web files on a web server to test them. Instead of clicking "View Project" after you publish, try this instead:
In the Publish Successful window, click "Zip".
Save the zipped file to your desktop.
Upload the zipped file to Tempshare by clicking and dragging the file into the box.
Do you see the same behavior there? If so, we'll want to take a peek at your original .story file (not the published file).
Thanks, Debbie. This one has me stumped. I'm not seeing anything on Slide 1.7 tabs interaction that would disable the next button, and yet you cannot move forward after clicking the tabs.
I'd like our Support team to weigh in on this, so I'm going to submit a case on your behalf (01078593) and share your file with them. Be on the lookout for an email from Support@Articulate.com!
I know the feeling, Debbie! I'm going to follow along with your case because I'm really curious to know what's going on behind the scenes in your file.

Thanks! I feel better that an expert is having the same issue.
