Hi. I was hoping to put a variable reference in the Notes pane so that it captured unique information as the learner made selections. Such as, could the note say "Hi Melanie"? Or can I only use variable references on the slides themselves?
You could build your own Notes pane with a button, a trigger and a textbox. Then you could add/use any variables from your project. It just a matter of how much work/complexity you want to put in.

You can add variable references only to textboxes, but not to the Notes text.
