Can I skip slides during a module and still show as complete in LMS?

Jan 09, 2017

Hello.

I have a module I want to branch into 2 sections.  One for "Training" and one for a short "Test"  In our company, it's not necessary for all who use this particular module to go through the Training portion, but they need to take the Test.

It appears that our LMS system will only show the module as being complete if ALL the slides are visited.

Is there an Articulate work-around that I could use where the trainee is not required to see the Training slides and can go straight to the Test?

Hello Steve,

Thanks for sharing your file! Storyline allows you to track progress and completion in two ways: 'number of slides viewed' and 'track using quiz result'. It looks like you've set up this course to be tracked by number of slides viewed. However, I noticed your course has a Meter Location Code Quiz. You could add a Results Slide after the quiz, which will send data to the LMS on whether the learner passed or failed the quiz.

If you do not want to track completion based on the quiz score, you could also add a simple 'Click here to verify you have successfully completed this course' question on the last slide. Again, you'll need to add a Results Slide to send the data to the LMS. This thread explains a bit more on how to set that up.
