I've read many posts and I am unclear about whether I can get my courses, that I publish with Storyline, can be viewed and have the tests answered and tracked on an Android device.
The short answer, and the one you're probably not hoping to hear, is: your mileage will vary.
Storyline content may work on some Android devices. However, Articulate does not officially support Android devices or browsers. Click here to review the system requirements for authoring and viewing Storyline content.
If you'd like to see official support for a particular mobile device, please submit a feature request to our product development team for review:
Thanks, I guess the answer is just as confusing as it seemed. My next question...of course...is, when will Storyline support Android? The iPad idea is awesome but a big part of my market is using Android.
The great thing about feature requests, is that it gives our users a way to communicate directly with the development team, thus giving our dev team an insight into what's in demand. The rub is that we have a pretty strict company policy about announcing what is or is not in the works. So even though there's not a whole lot of transparency, please keep the feature requests coming
I publish all my Storyline content using the LMS output with the mobile and HTML5 boxes checked. This works on the 2 android devices I have tested:
Samsung Galaxy Tab 1
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2
You do have to make sure your player is set to resize to the user's browser size. Otherwise, the Storyline content appears too large on the Android screen. But other than than, everything in my content worked as indended on the Android platform.
Good to know. I just (like this morning) bought the Galaxy Tab 2 7" , I'll try it it later on...looking forward to showing my stuff off at my next meeting (better than a business card).
I have samsung galaxy tab 2 ..but the publish storyline course is no resize itself according to the browser and audio also not working.please tell me how to resize it or make it scrollable.
I want to use jquery plugins to extend the functionality of storyline is there any plugins available for storyline.or can we use javascript so that it can work efficiently on android devices
I am using Storyline 1, because I thought that the support for Android devices only manifested itself in the app, which I can't use due to the password protecting my LMS.
Safari in Apple iOS/iPadOS (latest version), Google Chrome (latest version) in Apple iOS/iPadOS (latest version), Google Chrome (latest version) in Android OS 6 or later

Hello Peter,

The Storyline file needs to be set to resize in the player options. Also, you may need to set resize options in the LMS if you're launching from one.
I have a Galaxy Tab 4 and some things work, but not the scrolling panels. :(
Hello Ania!
Are you using Storyline 1 or Storyline 2? Android devices are now supported in Storyline 2.
Hello!
I am using Storyline 1, because I thought that the support for Android devices only manifested itself in the app, which I can't use due to the password protecting my LMS.
Hello Ania!
Unfortunately Storyline 1 is not supported on Android devices.
Slightly old post, but does Articulate 360 (in particular storyline) work on android yet?
Hi, Louise.
