Can't access slide layers

So I was working happily in Storyline2, adding questions to a test bank, when suddenly I can't access the feedback layers. Can't click on them, can't scroll to see them all. I also find I now can't access any layers on any of the slides outside of the test bank either.
The only way I was able to solve this problem was to unlock both the trigger bar and the slide layer bar. Not really convenient for those of us with limited screen real estate. I also can't access the slide properties for the base layer or the feedback layers, no matter where the slide layer bar is.
Has anyone else ever experienced something similar? If so, were you able to fix it? I need to know if this is a bug, or if I broke something.

Hi Jen,
It's not any behavior I'd expect or a bug that sounds familiar - so first I'd want to look at confirming you're working on local project files, using the latest update of Storyline 2 and adhering to the system requirements here.
Also, can you look at if this behavior persists in other files or just this one? If it's just this one, please look at importing it into a new project. If it's a number of files, I'd suggest going through the repair steps detailed here.
