Just wondering if the sequence drop downs can be re-sized without causing a scroll function to appear. As in the attachment I have a list of 7 items and they are almost the height of the screen.
There isn't a way to resize them, and the boxes are generated to autofit the text you entered and wrap text. This older thread has some suggestions on ways to adjust the sizing based on font/size - but you're also welcome to submit a feature request.
Can anyone help me change the size of font in a sequence Drop-Down so I could have the same size on every row?
I've tried to resize the whole sequence (pulled it from the right), but still my 3rd option has is font smaller then the rest (the font selected is the same for all the options- Arial 12).
Thanks for sending along the file. That sample look as I'd expect it as the text is resizing to fit within the drop down area. You can change the text box properties for the entire interaction as you'll see in this copy but then the text starts to fit just outside the box which is likely not the behavior you'd want either. Your other option would be to use a smaller font size for all the answers so that regardless of the overall length they'll all fit within the text box.
I'm happy to help! If you're looking to reduce the white space, have you tried aligning the drop-down answers? Sequence Drop-Down questions don't have customizable features like changing the style or width.
I'm not sure if this is the same issue, but I have a sequence drop-down quiz question and am curious if there is a way to adjust the size of the text box. I've tried a few different routes (no wrap text, do not shrink, etc.) but it doesn't seem to adjust the size of the text box. I was hoping to have the selection on one line.
Since this discussion, Storyline 360 has been updated with several text autofit improvements. The new enhancements give you complete control over text, such as the ability to expand the width, expand the height, or fix the size of a text box. In Storyline, you can toggle between the different options to see the other modes, but you can only choose one option.
I think that choosing the expand width option would work best for you to get your text selection onto one line.
To do this:
Select the text box you want to fit onto one line.
Go to Format Shape.
Under AutoFit options, select Expand Width.
Please let me know if that helps, or if you need additional assistance.

This is how it looks:

Hi Andrei,
there isn't a method to change the individual font size for each of those, they'll resize the text to fit based on the overall size.
Thanks for you quick response.
I want the same font on all of them.
I've selected the whole sequence font (arial 12) from Home/Font, but the sequence is resizing my 3rd option font and it looks smaller...
Any solutions?
Hi Andrei,
Do you have a sample for us to take a look at? It looks like your 3rd option is resizing smaller to fit within that box, which would be as expected.
Sure, here is a sample.
Thanks for help

I was having this same issue today with the matching drop down question and even though this is an older thread I thought I'd share my fix.
Select the entire object.
Right Click and choose Format Shape.
Choose the Textbox tab
Hold down your CTRL key and select the individual textboxes in the object.
Click on the "Do Not Resize" option
Click OK
Then click/select the main object and resize your font. This should put all of the text in the same font size.

Thanks Jeremy - old or not, we always appreciate knowing the other workarounds and ideas!
Has anybody figured out how to reduce the width of the drop-down menu?
And can you change the styles inside the drop-down menu?
I'd like to reduce the menu size so there isn't so much white space.

I did find this discussion that lists many workarounds!
