Can we hide the glossary in the mobile player?

May 21, 2013

Good morning all,

I have the player glossary on the sidebar of my module and it takes up a lot of space when I play the content within the Articulate Mobile Player... is there a way to collapse it throughout the module and have the learner refer to it only when needed? I've looked in the player settings and can't find an option that would allow me to do that. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Hi there Isa!

You should be able to move the Glossary up in the Player options to either side of the player, which would display it as a tab. When the learner accesses the Glossary, it'll expand. When they're finished, they can collapse it again.

Keep in mind, however, that this will only work with HTML5 content on the iPad. The Articulate Mobile Player doesn't support custom tabs.

If you are publishing for HTML5, you can move the Glossary to its own tab by moving it in the "Player Properties". Once you select the Glossary, use the "Up" arrow to move it to either the "Topbar Right" or "Topbar Left" positions.

Note: You can click on the image above to see a larger version.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, Isa!

Christine
