Cannot find course.xml document in file

I've created a course for a client and shared the course .zip SCORM package with them (SCORM 1.2). They are working to upload the package to their LMS and are receiving the following error "cannot find course.xml document in file."
I confirmed that the file is present at the root level of the .zip package, that it opens in Explorer normally, and uploaded the package to SCORM cloud with no issues (it says the manifest looks great and was able to locate the file). Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful!
Client is using OpenEdX as their LMS. See screenshot and this description of their experience: "I'm extracting the file, compressing it as a .tar, then compressing that as a .gz file, and importing that. See attached for the screenshot."

I'm sorry to hear the client is having trouble uploading the course to their LMS. Since it's working for you in SCORM Cloud, the issue may be on the LMS side. I'm not too familiar with OpenEdX, but hopefully, others in the community have some experience with this!
In the meantime, it might be beneficial to check with the client on which publishing format would work best. Additionally, this article on troubleshooting LMS issues may be helpful as well!
