Layers in SL360

i'm working on a slide w/ several layers, but suddenly i cannot look at one layer at a time when i'm fixing things up. my base layer shows elements of other layers, as do all of my secondary layers. this only recently started happening, but i cannot really edit my slides properly if i cannot isolate a layer to work on it. I've tried toggling the Dim option on & off, & it makes a difference in displaying some items, but it does not actually solve my problem, it just makes the layer look a little different.

Hi Malcolm,
You had one of the layers' visibility set to locked, which meant that it was always visible when viewing other layers. I've set all layers, and the base layer, to have visibility unlocked, and can see each individually.
It seems to be working for me, I can see each layer separately, and I hope this is what the issue was.
