Card game & Multiple selection

Imagine a slide with cards from a card game spread.

I would like to be able to select as many of these cards I want and, when pressing Next Slide, move the selected cards to the next slide.

This is the idea but I'm struggling on the way to make this concrete in Storyline.

Any idea?

Each card could have a Selected state, a True/False variable (e.g. card_xyz_Selected) and a trigger that toggles the variable when the card is clicked. On the next slide then, you can show the cards with a variable value of ..._Selected=True. Hope that makes sense.
