CC Button Background won't change colour - what am I missing?

I have a CC button turned on (via variable trigger) on my slide. In the colour settings I have turned on the background to something bright - and it seems to work in the settings when I try it. (image 1)

But when I preview or publish the slide, the button appears almost white (image 2) and is almost invisible.

What am I missing or doing wrong?

Hey Tracy, you aren't missing anything! There should be a way to change the "active state" color of the captions button, but there currently isn't a way to do that. Our team is looking into this, and I'll keep you posted on our progress. As soon as it's fixed, I'll let you know!
