Change layer objects to visited once user clicks the Next button or slides have been visited

Aug 13, 2015

I have two objects on an intro slide: a pentagon with a icon (a cart) on top of it. I  set the variable so that after the learner watches a video on another slide they jump back to the intro slide and the pentagon changes color and a check mark appears - indicating they have completed that section. (The check mark works!)

The problem is my icon (a cart) on top of the pentagon will not disappear, even through  the visited state appears after the user visits the assigned slide.

I pasted the icon (a cart) on the pentagon in the normal state.

I also had the icon (a cart) as its own object, and created a visited state for it, but that didn't work either. The icon (a cart) still remains when the learner goes back to the intro slide, and sits on top of the check mark.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Colleen,

If you're able to share the .story file we can take a look at how it's set up in terms of the states and the triggers. Without seeing it, it's difficult to say - so even if you're able to share screenshots of all those items or recreate it in a sample file, that would be helpful for the community and staff to troubleshoot.
