Change state of submit button - Drag and drop activity

Jul 17, 2023

Hi there

I have a slide (example attached) where I have created a drag and drop activity.  Points are added to a total when the user clicks submit. The submit button is disabled to begin with and I'd like it to change to Normal after each drop target is filled.  I can't figure it out :(

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Hello Jennifer, you need to add a new trigger for the submit button to change its state to normal.

So add the following trigger to the each options:

Change state for submit button to normal when user drops Option# on any of the drop targets (Priority#).

Review the attached file for your reference.

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for reaching out about this! I’m seeing that you’ve created a custom drag-and-drop. Is there a specific reason you’re not using the freeform drag-and-drop question slide template?  A freeform drag-and-drop slide has built-in functionality that allows you to save time by reducing trigger needs. You can find them by clicking the Slides tab and then clicking the Freeform Question button.

In the attached file, I reworked the question as a freeform drag-and-drop and added a state change trigger to “Submit button 1”. This trigger will change “Submit button 1” to its Normal state when all three “Priority” targets have an object dragged over them. Here is a screenshot of the trigger.

Can you download the file and see if what I created works for you?

I look forward to your response!
