I have imported a powerpoint presentation in storyline and am working on it.
A template was applied to the powerpoint presentation when i imported it into storyline.
Now i have added a quiz slide in storyline with multiple reponse. The color of check marks which appear when i preview the slide, is too light to be seen. i want to change the color of hte check mark so that it will be visible. i have tried changing the option in the player template. although i change it here, it makes no difference in the quiz slide.
It looks like the Quiz Checkmarks are controlled by Accent 1 in the Color Theme for the current Design. So, a couple thoughts:
If the theme is a custom one, you can go in and edit it:
Click the Design Tab >Select the Colors drop-down >Right-click on the Custom Theme and Choose Edit. Then change Accent 1
If the theme is built-in, you can create a new theme based on the built-in one and edit the new theme.
Click the Design Tab >Select the Colors drop-down >Select Create new theme colors (at the bottom of the menu). Then change Accent 1.
The problem with this is that everything else that uses the Accent 1 color will also change.
Another thought is to click on the Quiz Slide and choose a different Design Theme for just that slide. Design Themes are available in the Themes group; there is also a drop-down for access to a few more themes. Right-click on a theme and choose to apply to selected slides (in this case only the quiz slide).
You may then modify the colors for this custom or built-in theme.
So, a couple thoughts. Perhaps others will chime in.
Accent 1 has no impact on the marker color. In fact, no color changes have an impact. It seems this color is hardcoded in the software. Not really an up to date software architecture (Storyline 2!!).
You can change the check fill, check border and check colour or use one of the check styles in the format tab what are you saying is hardcoded and cannot be changed?
Correct Felix, you'll be unable to change that color or any of the elements associated with the review layer. Youre welcome to share your thoughts in a feature request here.
It's a bit annoying when Articulate only acts upon feature requests. The ability to change the design on all layers is a basic requirement which should be implemented since the first version of Storyline.
We haven't changed access to the Review layer's built-in elements, and we determine feature request priority as outlined here.
If you're looking to customize it, you may want to look at creating your own review layer, and the directions here (although more about removing the incorrect/correct banner) would be a great way to start!
But if you create your own states, do not name them "Selected", "visited", or any other name that is already built into SL. Those built-in states also come with their own triggers and other baggage that will (probably) interfere with what you are trying to do.
We create courses for clients with specific branding requirements, so we almost never use the build in checkboxes or buttons - but states of those elements - yes, built-in states come first as triggers already exist
below are few examples of checkboxes or answers in different states. When it comes to design there are no limits. In fact, we use shapes, text boxes and images more often than checkboxes.

Hi Felix
not sure I understand your comment.

Hi Wendy,
I mean the marker in review mode, when the system shows the correct answers.
Sorry I didn't see anywhere in the thread about 'reviewing' the quiz question.
Correct Felix, you'll be unable to change that color or any of the elements associated with the review layer. Youre welcome to share your thoughts in a feature request here.

Hi Felix,
The review elements are not currently accessible, but it's been something I know other users have asked for, but the more feature requests the better.
So Ashley. Has Storyline mad this accessible over the past four years?
Hi Bobby,

A simple solution is to create own bespoke check marks with any states required (selected, visiter, review etc).
But if you create your own states, do not name them "Selected", "visited", or any other name that is already built into SL. Those built-in states also come with their own triggers and other baggage that will (probably) interfere with what you are trying to do.
Hi Walt,
it is always about the end result and the goal.
