I am trying to change the color of shapes at certain points on my timeline. For example, I have a pie chart that is all blue at the start of the slide, but I want to change the color of 4 of the slices at 5 seconds in. I could not figure out how to do this via the Edit States functionality. Can someone tell me how to do this easily?
Currently there is no trigger that allows changing the color of shapes. However, there is a way using the timeline and hiding/showing your shapes.
Place your initial pie chart shape on the timeline where you want it.
Make a duplicate of it and change the colors to your needs.
Shorten the timeline to end at 5 seconds for the first pie chart.
Slide the duplicate shapes with the new colors down to 5 seconds on the timeline as a starting point.
When the timeline begins, it will show the first pie chart. At 5 seconds it will disappear (because its timeline ends) and the other will show (because its timeline begins). You can do this process as often as you like. No triggers. No States.
