Changing the Icon on Hotspots

Mar 09, 2022

Hi Everyone!

I don't know if this has been brought up but I have a hotspot question and I'm trying to change the icon to look different. Currently, it looks like a loading page symbol when you click on the answer(right or wrong). Is there a way to change the icon/symbol to either a box around the selection, marker icon, etc. I can;t seem to figure it out.

Any and all help welcome - thanks in advance! :)

Hello Natalie, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊

This has been brought up before, and we have an open feature request requesting the ability to:

  • Customize Hotspot Selection Marker/Indicator
I wanted to share some information about how we manage these feature requests, which may be helpful. I've attached this conversation to share updates with you here.

Depending on what's being presented, an alternative is to place 99%-transparent shapes over areas that might be clicked. A shape can have states, so each one could have a Selected state that indicates the general area that was clicked. After adding the shapes, convert the slide into a Freeform Pick One question, and you've basically got a hotspot question with whatever kind of indicator you want.
