I have noticed that when I am not able to actually do the click and drag action in screen recording when I have it in Try It mode or Test mode. Is there a work around for this?
When you include a screen recording in your Articulate Storyline project that has click-and-drag events (such as dragging a scroll bar), note that these actions won't be interactive if you insert your screen recording as Try Mode Steps or Test Mode Steps.
When inserting a screen recording where there are "click and drag" options, they will not be interactive when viewed in "Try" or "Test" mode. The community may have found a workaround, but I have not seen one in the forums yet.
Click and drags do not get recorded as interactions, only clicks. this will have to be recreated. I would take a snapshot of the background and a snapshot of the small item you want dragged. You could recreate what you are trying to do fairly easily.
I think this would be a cool feature, to be able to enable click and drag interaction recordings, but an option will have to be set up so that not all click and drags are recorded this way such as scrolling down a page.
One more question. Due to time constraints, I thought about triggering the click and drag by having the user click on a hotspot. The trigger I used was 'Play media screenrecording when user clicks hotsport.' That does work, but because the screen recording appears on the timeline you see it twice.
I also tried to copy & paste the mouse and screen recording to put them on a layer to do a show layer trigger, but I can't copy & paste those.
It's hard to visualize, but what you're describing sounds like expected behavior as it's set to play automatically, and then you've set it to play a second time. Are you able to share the .story file here so that we could take a look and make other suggestions?

Hi Sheri! This is expected behavior:

Here is our article about this.

Thanks everyone. I may give it a try that suggestion a try.

Any other suggestions that may be quick.
