Clipping audio between cue points?

Feb 03, 2016

Hi all

I have a piece of audio that I would rather not try to edit in a separate software as all the other pieces of my slide are nicely aligned with it (and it took me AGES to get it to work the way I wanted it to!).

Essentially, I want to remove about 8 seconds of the timeline between two cue points.  Is this possible?

Many thanks

Jo

Hello Leslie - many thanks for your response!

Actually what I would like to do is cut out silence - I have 8 seconds of silence in the audio where nothing happens on screen. I only realised this one I synched the rest of the 'action' on the screens to the spaces in the audio where something was happening. So I wondered if it was possible to actually cut out 8 seconds of the whole slide's timeline - that way I get rid of the space where the is silence in the audio and nothing else happening on the screen.

I know I could strip out the audio, take out the 8 seconds in a different software and reinput it into the Storyline slide, but then I'd have to rearrange the animation/timing of about 50 items on the slide, and I'd hoped I wouldn't have to do that. If I could just remove the 8 seconds of timeline from the slide it would be great.

I was hoping that if you could add silence, you could also take it away....

Many thanks
Jo
