Currently the only way to see closed captions is in Preview mode. I'll let our team know you'd like to also have the ability to see captions using the timeline playback feature!

This is surprising. We made this post because the closed captions show during timeline preview some of the time, and not others. There seems to be no way to control whether CC shows up or not.
