cmi.core.lesson_status HELP!!!

Dec 19, 2013

Hi,

I received the following feedback from my LMS' SCORM consultant about a course I've published in SL.

"The main issue is that the course does not set cmi.core.lesson_status to completed and sets the cmi.core.score.raw = 0

I would suggest that the vendor change the settings in storyline so that the course sets cmi.core.lesson_status = completed when all pages are viewed."

How do I make the change he's referring to? HELP!

Ashley,

Thanks so much for responding. This course has no formal assessment, so there is no results slide. I tried to set the slides viewed number to both one number less than the total number of slides, as well as setting it to the same number of slides in the course as viewed. The LMS company is stating that neither option reports my course as completed. The odd thing is, we have several courses on that LMS both with and without assessments, and these options work. It is extremely frustrating. I cannot discern whether or not this issue is an SL software issue or an LMS issue. Either way, it is an issue for my users. (sigh)

Hi Karen,

If your LMS isn't able to recognize the completion by slides viewed, you could also set it to report completion based on reaching a specific slide using the method here.

Additionally, you may want to review this post on troubleshooting common LMS issues, specifically testing your course at SCORM Cloud. If you're able to replicate the behavior there, can you share your .story file with us so that we can take a look? You can share it privately here if you prefer.
