Has anyone had issues with Insert Symbol -> Combining Diacritical Marks? The character displays correctly while I'm building the project, but not when I preview or publish.
If anyone else experiences this issue, the best workaround I came up with was to create the characters in Word, take a screenshot, edit out the background in Photoshop and bring the png into SL.
Hi, Christopher. Thanks for including your project–I'm happy to lend a hand!
I tested the file in the latest build of Storyline 360 (3.17.16188.0)–here's what I saw in Edit and Preview mode. I see a discrepancy with just the line above the X. Does that match what you're seeing?
I saw you also opened a support case, which is a smart move! My colleague, Chino, is wrapping up his testing and should be in touch with his findings as well soon. I'll follow the case along, as I'm also really curious to find out what's causing this!
Thanks for confirming that, Chris! I shared this detail with Chino, and he should be in touch shortly.
P.S. Looks like you may have replied via email in which your contact information came through. No worries – this Peek video will show you how to edit it.
Circling back here to note that we've got a diacritical character's line on top gets misaligned when previewing or publishing a course logged as a possible bug. My teammate, Chino, was able to trace this issue to Modern Text Rendering; looks like disabling Modern Text Rendering did the trick there.
Appreciate you letting us know about this! Our team is looking into next steps, and we'll share all updates here! Thanks again, and we're here if you need anything else!

Hi Katie,
Yes, your screenshots are consistent with what's happening on my end.
Thanks,
Chris
