Thanks for your help, I went through your thread. and I think from 3 years till now there isn't a clear solution for this issue, so let me suggest you to develop a new type of variables called "Audio", it stores the word or phrase, then during the course the trainee can listen to it, then allow him to record his voice and compare that with the recorded one.
also this way can implement a new type of graded question.
hope this idea be valuable and applicable, I'm sure a team developed such wonderful tool like you could easily come with more than we expect.

It's not a feature of Storyline, but I've seen some other threads where users looked at doing something similar here and here as well.
