I have an SL 360 course, with no quiz, setup to complete based on slide count and published to report complete/incomplete status to the LMS. In both the LMS and on scormcloud, it is reporting passed/fail, not complete/incomplete.
We were seeing a bug in Storyline that sounds very similar to what you're describing, but we've since rolled out a fix for it.
Are you on the latest update of Storyline 360? To check, click the Help tab, then click About Storyline. You should see 3.19.16600.0 in the bottom-right corner.
If you're not already on that version, go ahead and update your software. Then, republish your course and let me know if you see different behavior in the LMS.
Thanks for confirming, Justin. That's certainly odd. In that case, would you be willing to share your project file with us for testing? You can send it along privately right here. We would appreciate it!
I'm having this issue as well. I'm running 360 v3.21.17083.0, I don't have a quiz slide in my deck but am still getting the passed/failed status along with the complete/incomplete status. My deck is enormous and confidential. Can someone suggest things I can check myself to try to debug?
Hi there, Caryn. Check out this article on reporting success and completion in an LMS. The article mentions that each LMS interprets those reporting options somewhat differently.
It sounds like you're setting your course to complete/incomplete, but you're also getting the passed/failed status as well. Try publishing for SCORM 2004 4th edition, if it's supported in your LMS.
Caryn, unless you already know this, check with your LMS admin team to be sure your company's using 4th ed. I know we are on Cornerstone, but it just depends.
Thanks all! I got pulled away from this and hadn't checked the thread. Our LMS does support 4th edition thankfully, and I'll double-check my publish is set to that as well.

Hi Alyssa,
Yes, I am on that version of SL360.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks

Hi Alyssa,
I submitted a case with the course file attached.
Thanks

Thanks, Justin. I see you're well on your way with Jose. I'll follow along with your case as it progresses!

Thanks Crystal! I'll try both.
When I publish in 360, it doesn't say which edition for SCORM 2004 - it just lists SCORM 2004. Is there an option somewhere to specify 4th edition?
Hi Caryn!
If you click the gray Reporting and Tracking button in the publishing window, you'll see the option to choose 4th Edition at the top.
Try republishing with that setting, then test inside your LMS again. Let us know if you see a difference!
