Completed/Incomplete Variable Trigger

Oct 27, 2017

I am trying really hard to update a course I am working on. I attached the example because I can't share the actual course.

Essentially we will have a home page of buttons that will take them to various other slides. On each slide, there will be two buttons, one that says completed and one that says pending. If they choose pending, it will take them back to the home page and that button will change states so they know they have to go back to it. If they choose completed, the buttons can all change to visited. Hoping that makes sense. Can anyone help?

Hi Danielle,

Not sure if I fully understand what you're looking for, but I think changing the order of your triggers will do the trick.

The triggers on the first slide for Button 1 should be in the following order:

  1. Change state of Button 1- "Day 1" to Visited when the user clicks Button 1.
  2. Jump to 1.2 Untitled Slide when the user clicks Button 1.

The triggers on the second slide for Button 1 should be in the following order:

  1. Set Slide1 equal to True when the user clicks Button 1.
  2. Jump to 1.1 Untitled Slide when the user clicks Button 1.

You should also add the following trigger to the second slide (before the "Jump to 1.1" trigger):

  • Set Slide1 equal to False when the user clicks Button 2. (This will change the button on the first slide back to Visited.)

See attached.
