This is causing a lot of hassle for my company after just purchasing a few AS licenses. One user has no problems whatsoever but two other users keep getting this same message when trying to preview/publish - see attached picture. The strange thing is, when I run articulate storyline as myself (administrator) it will preview/publish fine, so I set the end user as admin but it still gives the attached error, I am at a loss :(
First, try to make sure that the users are publishing local files. Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate). Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.
Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in the following Microsoft article.

Thanks!
Thanks Christine,
We have actually already been onto support about this and they told us to do the same but to no avail and have not heard back from them for two days so I was trying to reach out the the AS community to see if they could shed some light on the matter.
Was this case under a different contact name? I don't need you to post the name here, just want to make sure I'm looking at the right one. There's a lot of communication on this case, as well, is another reason I ask. I was concerned when you mentioned you hadn't heard back. The case looks like it was opened on the 28th and has activity every day. Maybe we can double-check the case number? Or if you'd like, you can send me a private message with your contact information (I can't find anything using the name you have here) I can try to look it up.

Hi Bryan,
That's strange. Are you able to share a case number with me, so I can check on the status?
Thanks,
Christine

Hi Bryan,

In the meantime, do you know if you've already taken the steps outlined in this troubleshooting article?
Thanks again Bryan!
Christine
