I'm using a template for a set of courses and now this last course file (which I created yesterday), isn't functioning correctly. I copied a slide from a previous course with an interaction and the slide just stalls on preview and is blank. Furthermore, when I try to add triggers, none work. Thought I could work around it and Publish a 360 review to preview it, nothing... everything is blank and won't work.
The only thing that seems to work is building slides from scratch... but that would be incredibly time consuming.
tried dissecting it piece by piece to see what was causing the slide not to play. Wound up changing the font to Open Sans and it worked. Good news, but not so good news because our content needs to be branded correctly.
Just to try, I went back to the previously built courses in the set and now they aren't functioning with our branded font. yeeeeeeesh. what to do!??
I'm sorry to hear you've hit this snag. Good job applying troubleshooting steps and finding out that fonts caused the issue!
It would be helpful to see the font files as well as the affected Storyline project to understand why everything is blank when using this font. Do you mind attaching the font files and your project to this discussion or privately in a support case? We'll delete them when we're done testing!
Thank you both for the responses! I checked the file again this morning, added our branded fonts back in and oddly enough, the problem is no longer happening. The fonts are part of the Adobe Creative Cloud, so unfortunately, I cannot attach them. I will keep track of this in the next few weeks and bring it up if it persists. Have a great day!
