Countdown Timer in Escape Room

Hi, I'm just getting started with Storyline. I followed some steps found here to create a countdown timer in the slide master for a escape room and I'm facing this issue: After publishing and uploading into scorm cloud, the timer freezes everytime I go away from the escape room window and only resumes when I return to the game. I'd like the timer to keep going even though you open another windows or go to another app. This didn't happen when previewing within storyline but after publishing the content. Did anyone have this issue in the past and know how to fix? Thanks so much in advance!
