Course advancing automatically even when trigger asks for Next

Hello Heroes!
I am having an issue on the latest course I'm working on. I want the learner to be able to click on the Next button to move the course at their pace - but the course advances automatically without waiting for user input as soon as the audio is done playing. The only trigger I have on each slide is "Jump to next slide when the user clicks the Next button" - which is not working.
I've checked the boards, and it seems the only solution is to manage it with a True/False variable as described here: http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=st1&id=3nq6s9jfveap
But I'd really like to avoid re-triggering all my course.
Am I missing something?
Thanks ahead!
Mario.

Hi Mario,
First, what version of Storyline are you running? You can find this information by clicking on "Help" and "About Articulate Storyline". If you're not running version 2, please try downloading and installing Update 2. You can get that file, here.
If that doesn't solve the problem, or if you're already running Update 2, are you able to share the project's .STORY file here so I can take a look at what's happening?
Thanks!
Hi Christine,
It seems I'm not running version 2. The version I show is 1208.1316.
I'll try downloading the file first and then let you know if it's not fixed.
Thank you!
Hello again,
I have updated to Update 2: 1212.1412, and 'triggered' the first slide as described in the article above - and the course is still pushing forward without the NEXT button.
Help?
Thank you.
Okay - never mind. I found where the issue is. Solved by this article:

Thanks again!
Check in story view, is the slide set to advance by user? Even if you delete the trigger it still advances
